Combining resources, the organizations look to notably expand the reach, visibility, and impact of fundraising campaigns that benefit those afflicted with cancer.

Cancer Journeys Foundation was launched to provide cancer survivors with a centralized digital hub of survivorship information to support their journey after their formal course of treatment has come to a close. “Research indicates that there’s no structured program to support cancer survivors and their caregivers after treatment ends,” stated Hess, who set out to fill this gap. The organization provides pre-vetted information and resources ranging from iPhone apps through their comprehensive directory of listings that cover everything from emotional well being to veteran health care. The non-profit also provides up-to-date listings on cancer-specific programs and events. In 2018, Cancer Journeys Foundation was nominated for the California Innovation Award for its work in developing ProstrateTrackerApp, a free online prostate cancer early detection system.
