Las Vegas, Nevada – August 17, 2020 – Just4Cancer, a peer-to-peer fundraising network committed to fighting the financial toxicity of cancer, today announced its partnership with Pills2Me, a free on-demand medication pick-up and delivery service that promotes public health and aims to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This new partnership enables free medication delivery to a pilot group of cancer patients and survivors in the Las Vegas valley.

“We’re looking forward to working with Just4Cancer to keep the immunocompromised safe while still ensuring they receive the medications they need in a timely manner,” explained Leslie Asanga, founder of Pills2Me. “This partnership notably expands our capabilities throughout the Las Vegas Valley.”

Working toward its mission of fighting the financial toxicity of cancer, the Just4Cancer Foundation will be subsidizing 50 percent of the cost of Pills2Me delivery as a pilot program for 100 individuals each month through February of 2021. For each month that the foundation does not hit its target of 100 cancer-afflicted recipients, the balance will roll over to support the growing population of aging adults also vulnerable to COVID-19. Program results will be carefully monitored, with the potential of increasing the number of beneficiaries over time.

“As the pandemic strains our healthcare system, cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers are left particularly vulnerable,” explained Clifford Rhayns, CEO of Just4Cancer. “We’re proud to launch this new program in partnership with Pills2Me, making it safer, easier, and more affordable for individuals to receive the medications they need.”

Pills2Me was founded by Leslie Asanga, PharmD, MBA, MPH, a graduate of both Roseman University of Health Sciences and Yale University, to provide free home delivery of medications for vulnerable populations most likely to develop severe symptoms from COVID-19. Just4Cancer was founded by Clifford Rhayns, a graduate of Western Governors University, who brings years of Oncology Systems experience.
